A must read for those married, or thinking about marriage!, July 24, 2010
This book is loaded with practical truths that apply to all marriages. I especially enjoyed and was challenged by the authors transparency – He truly communicates through issues in a way we can all relate to. As he states in the book, “The only investment that will always have a good return is the investment in relationships. The most solid of those investments is our relationship with God and the second is our relationship with our spouse.” This book is an excellent way to invest in both of these top two relationships!

Great book! Very insightful and good practical advice for having a Godly marriage. What is the purpose of marriage? Great question. If we remember the answer it will allow us to avoid many arguments. I definitely recommend this book.

This book was very simple to read and helped my relationship in a REAL way. If you want some practical ways to improve or save your marriage, buy this book! For you guys who are looking for a cool way to propose to you girlfriend, read this book. The way this guy proposed to his wife is incredible!!!!

I have to admit, I was a little pessemistic when I first saw the book’s title. But, being a newly-wed of only 3 months, how could I pass up on a book about marriage that gave me “promises” and a “guarantee”? Especially in this day and age with such a high divorce rate. And after reading it, I felt like I would be doing this book and it’s author a huge injustice if I didn’t share my personal thoughts on it and give it a positive review. And believe me when I say, I have purchased a good number of books in my life time yet for one reason or another this is the first time that I truly felt like I had to review one on Amazon. With that said. I believe this book is a “MUST READ” for any newly wedded couples, as well as engaged couples and even couples that have been married for years yet are still struggling trying to figure things out. The author shares in this book practical, Biblical principles. But, beyond that, he shares true life experiences and ties them in with how they relate to actual scripture. All the while doing it in such a way that gives me direction and hope for having a marriage the way God designed it to be. |

This book clearly defines the purpose of marriage through the personal experiences of the author and the people he has counseled. The bible scriptures flow into the authors discussion of forgiveness, faith, happiness, conflict, communication and of course love and leave no doubt as to who is the ultimate author of marriage. I would recommend this book to couples about to commit to lifelong marriage and for those, like me, who have had the blessing of many years of marriage. This is one to reread, and study and to remember for life.
