Harry,

I appreciate your comment. Very few people understand what a Life Coach is. It is great to see that you understand the need to be coached on our goals and pursuits of life. It is so easy to get sidetracked from our goals and allow obstacles to impede our success in life.

Let me know if I can help in any way. Even Coaches need to be coached.

If I do not get a chance to meet you, I will at least pray for your and your success.

Scarlett,

You are right. It is a choice. And the Joy of the Lord is also a choice and does not always seem to be based on circumstances. We can have the Joy of the Lord in the worst possible situations because we know and believe that God always has a plan that we will not always understand.

Great article, James! I look forward to reading more. Julie and I won't be able to make to your class, this time. We are in the Dave Ramsey's class on Thursdays. May God keep blessing you as you bless others around you.

Yes. We must have a detailed plan on how to avoid temptation in our lives. We must hide God's word in our hearts. The verses that we memorize are the roadblocks in our minds. The things that keep us from going to the places that we should not go. For someone that has trouble getting motivated to accomplish things this might be different than someone who does not have this struggle. Depending on what your stuggling points are you should have a verse or saying that is a roadblock to that kind of thinking.

I SO TOTALLY AGREE!

I've found such great peace and joy in admitting, "It's OK. I'm not perfect. Only God is perfect, and He is really what my wife is longing for."

After realizing that, it's so much easier to hit the reset button in my heart, change my communication efforts to speaking my wife's native language, and seek God's wisdom to allow HIM to speak through me to her.

I'm so glad that all my mistakes and failures have been forgiven at the cross thousands of years ago. My only part in Jesus' work is to acknowledge my imperfection and give it back to Him for more refining -- for Him to live again through me.

And I'm finding that this perspective allows me to truly love my wife unconditionally (without expectation) while also communicating my needs and desires objectively. Again, Jesus' love and forgiveness is the only way I can even start to think this way!
